Life Education Wessex

Humphries Kirk is very proud to support the work of Life Education Wessex (LEW).

Life Education Wessex is an independent and self-supporting branch of a national charity working in partnership with schools and the community to help children between the ages of 3 and 11 make informed healthy choices. LEW help schools provide Health and Drug Prevention Education to nearly 70,000 children across the Wessex region, including Dorset.

They are the only organisation that supports schools in meeting the national curriculum and government guidelines for health and drug education to children of primary school age.

Using high tech mobile classrooms, fun-filled programmes and specially trained Educators; Life Education work with schools and children across Dorset, Somerset and Devon every year.

Life Education do a fabulous job of supporting our schools and Humphries Kirk think it is important to support them through sponsorship or by simply turning out to the many fantastic fundraising events, be that a bike ride through the picturesque Purbecks or traversing the high ropes of Rempstone near Corfe, to Quiz nights and golf tournaments.

Without financial support from the government, Life Education work extremely hard to raise funds to support schools who often don't have time or resouces themselves to do this important work.

The children all love their time in the mobile class rooms, and in fact if you want further endorsement then just ask your child – but don’t ask them about Life Education, better to ask them about Harold the Giraffe; Life Educations friendly mascot. Harold is world famous across Wessex!
