Kiwi Joins Community Foundation

rac imageThe Community Foundation Dorset is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Cossey to the Board of Trustees.

Richard, who currently works at Humphries Kirk solicitors as the head of marketing was elected at a recent Board meeting. Whilst Richards roots are a little further south of Dorset having arrived from New Zealand some 15 years ago, his wife Judy is from Dorset. Richard, a keen Rugby supporter has worked mostly in Marketing and Business Development roles throughout his career with a small stint in the music royalties business in London for a time helping to project manage some changes in EU legislation affecting the industry.

Tina Baker the Chief Executive of Community Foundation said, “I am thrilled that Richard has decided to come on board, not only will he be an asset in terms of his marketing and PR expertise but his business contacts across the county will help us to spread our message about the work we do in helping facilitate private and corporate donors to set up charitable foundation funds to support their charitable giving aims.

I’ve seen the difference it makes through the work that Humphries Kirk has done to support local groups and events.

Unfortunately, it can be a time consuming and confusing area because of the large number of worthy organisations who need help. Who should you support? Where should your money go? Thankfully people like Tina and the Community Foundation team can help. Firstly, to clarify your thinking about your giving and then to manage and administer that giving on your behalf. In this way, you can have as much or as little involvement as you like.”

If you would like further information about the Community Foundation then feel free to contact Tina Baker directly by telephone on 01202 292255 or email Tina at: tina@dorsetcf.org
