Lawyers Launch Taste of Dorset

Top Food & Drink producers are set for recognition in the Blackmore Vale Media, Taste of Dorset Awards 2009, in association with Humphries Kirk Solicitors.

People are being called to nominate their favourites in 14 categories ranging from restaurant of the year to outstanding contribution to food in Dorset.

Categories also include best café or tea-room, best artisan baker, best dairy producer and best farm shop.

Three finalists will be chosen in each category with the winners announced at a presentation evening at the Dorset County Showground on Wednesday 2nd September.

The Awards were launched by Fanny Charles, editor of Blackmore  Vale Magazine in the Dorset County Museum, Dorchester, hosted by Humphries Kirk Solicitors, supporter and main sponsor. 

Fanny said: “Doom and gloom still surrounds farming and the economy but local food & drink producers and suppliers need and deserve the support of all of us.  These awards will strengthen awareness of the excellent food & drink that comes directly from Dorset.”
