In recent years Darrell has taken the lead on Humphries Kirks push to develop relationships within the Design Industry and is an advisor to the Design Business Association based in London.

With his experience and expertise in dealing with commercial law, including employment and intellectual property law, Darrell  has advised a number of the UK’s most well known design firms on all manner of legal matters from commercial contracts, terms and conditions; to Patents, Trademarks and Copyright; and from Technology law, web issues and brand protection to debt collection, shareholder agreements and registration disputes.

“Dealing with the design industry is a hugely rewarding experience. To be able to release some of the pressure from the shoulders of those designers who often have the dual responsibility of creating amazing design concepts whilst trying to maintain a viable and commercial design practice, is very satisfying. By helping to put the right legal structures in place, I am able to free up business owners to get on with what they do best – create great design!”
