Dorset and Somerset solicitors firm Humphries Kirk has announced its support of the Dorset Arts Weeks by sponsoring the event for the 10th year in a row.

The biannual arts event organised by Dorset Visual Arts takes place from Saturday May 28 to Sunday June 12 and is one of the largest open studio events in the country, featuring hundreds of open studio locations and exhibitions from more than one thousand artists, designers and makers across the county.

For the past decade, Humphries Kirk has donated funds to the event, which contributes to the Dorset economy by attracting people from across the UK and internationally.

Jem Main, organiser at Dorset Art Weeks, said: “Humphries Kirk’s consistent and long-term support has been of huge value to Dorset Visual Arts and it has been so beneficial to have a partnership with such a prestigious law firm.

The firm’s sponsorship has allowed Dorset Art Weeks to broaden its vision, support more artists and be ambitious about the future.

James Selby Bennett, senior partner at Humphries Kirk, said: “We are happy to sponsor Dorset Arts Weeks once again and hope that our support will go some way to help the talented artists and makers who exhibit their work.”

Humphries Kirk provides legal expertise to private and commercial clients, with offices in Crewkerne, Dorchester, Wareham, Swanage, Poole, Parkstone, Bournemouth and London.
