Leading Dorset and Somerset law firm Humphries Kirk is offering 40 per cent off the cost of making a Will during its promotional ‘Will Week’.
The law firm’s ‘Will Week’ takes place from Monday September 18 to Friday September 22, aiming to highlight the importance of having a Will. Customers will also be given the chance to ask questions about the preparation of Lasting Powers of Attorney.
The offer is for a 40 per cent reduction on the cost of making a basic Will, which equates to an approximate cost after discount of £90 for a single Will or £168 for a joint Will.
To take advantage of this offer, members of the public should contact their local office during ‘Will Week’ to arrange an appointment. Appointments must be booked during the promotional week, although the appointment can take place after the law firm’s ‘Will Week’.
Adam Scott, partner at Humphries Kirk, said: “We are running this special promotion to raise awareness of the importance of having an up to date Will. Many people assume that when they die, their assets will automatically be passed on to their spouse, partner or children. But this is not guaranteed. The law dictates who gets what and how much if there is no Will in place.
“Having a Will is the only way you can guarantee your wishes are respected after you have passed away. Without a Will and no traceable surviving relatives, your whole estate could pass into the hands of the government.”
Humphries Kirk can also offer advice on how to appoint legal guardians, state your funeral wishes, and create legacies to individuals or charitable organisations. Any tax or trust advice will be charged separately.
Humphries Kirk has offices in Bournemouth, Parkstone, Poole, Swanage, Wareham, Dorchester, Crewkerne as well as London and has an international network of lawyers. For more information visit www.hklaw.eu
